Joey Sindelar update

by padecky

Champions Tour pro Joey Sindelar remains at Sonoma Valley hospital, having suffered a pulmonary embolism Saturday at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at the Sonoma Golf Club.

Sindelar was removed from the course after complaining of shortness of breath and feeling dizzy. According to the PGA Sindelar is to remain at SVH for a few more days for further tests and evaluation.

“Joey is on blood thinners right now,” said John Cook, who won the event with a record 22-under par. “He’s doing fine although it is quite the scary thing.”

Hang in there Joey. Let me know if you need anything packed up or bubble wrapped.
Take good care of yourself, and come back home soon.

    Hi Joey,

I wish you a very speedy recovery. How lucky you were to receive immediate attention for that embolism. For that fact, I’m sure you, your family and all your fans are so grateful. The #1 goal now is to get well and leave that hospital as quickly as possible. All the best, your friend, Maureen Feeley

Joey: I just learned of your illness, but am relieved that you are recuperating well. Take it easy and take good care of yourself. You are a tremendous asset to golf and to the tour. I doubt that there’s a nicer guy out there. As a native Elmiran, I’m so proud of you.

    Best regards,
    Dick
